Early this week I participated in a running dinner. No, this is not an event where you eat while running. Mamy and I signed up to be partners and to host at my place. Visum (international organization at the Uni here) emailed us with a list of locations of where we would be going. The point is that you meet two other groups at one location for the appetizer, another location for the main course and then the final location is where you will have dessert. At each location you meet four new people, meeting a total of twelve new people when the night is over. We were in charge of the main course and decided to make tacos with a side of chips and salsa. The night ended with this dessert dish that is posted up above. It’s strawberries, whip cream and sprinkles. The last flat was interesting because I not only happened to be the only international student, but I was also the only girl!! The guys who hosted were really cool and the group really educated me a lot on the culture here by sharing things that I have yet to hear. After dessert and a few drinks we went to the club for an after party to meet up with the other groups. I wasn’t planning to attend to after party, but after it was all said and done I was so thankful that I went. Will definitely be a night in Mannheim that I will never forget!!
I am currently studying in Germany til June and have made another blog for people to keep up with my adventures!! Enjoy :)

Believe it or not, but there is a lot of inspiration behind the designs of the garments that you are currently wearing. In every brand or collection that is strutted down the runway, the designer (more than likely) has lost hours of sleep thinking of how to create their current inspiring thoughts into the next project runway, literally!!! The image above, which caught your attention as soon as your index finger clicked on the link to my blog, is a brand that I have become highly fond of in the last three months. SuperDry was introduced to me when I stopped into a boutique at Cameron Village before my departure to Germany. With British tailoring, inspirations from a trip to Tokyo in 2003 and design influences from Japanese graphics I am here to introduce to you SuperDry, a brand based out of the UK. The in-house brand was born when Julian Dunkerton teamed up with designer James Holder who had previously founded the Bench brand. In March of 2010 the business launched the next stage of its global growth and expansion leading the brand to be sold in over ninety-one countries in the year of 2011. This is a company that is all about unique clothing, variety, knows how to please the customer and offers free shipping to North American. <— hop on it My first week in Germany was jaw dropping after counting how many SuperDry coats I counted on the streets of Mannheim!! This is when I realized that SuperDry is a brand that is just now making it’s way to the states, but happens to be a big deal in Europe. Do you remember growing up and there was always something that your friends had and you too wanted it?? Well, that feeling still holds true today no matter what age you are and I must say that you may want to add SuperDry to your list while North Carolinians are still clueless. ;)
